News from the International Society of Christian Apologetics

Dear ISCA Members, Last week we finished the 6th Annual Meeting of the International Society of Christian Apologetics at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. The topic this year was “The Problem of Evil.” We had lots of excellent papers on the topic along with Plenary Sessions with Bruce Little and Paul Copan. We also heard from Phil Roberts in the Presidential Address and concluded with a panel discussion with Paul Copan, Norman Geisler, Bruce Little, and Chad Meister. We want to especially thank James Dew for all the good work he put forth in making the conference a great success. At the Executive Committee meeting, we decided to create a new position of Conference Coordinator. James Dew was elected to that position. Khaldoun Sweis was elected to fill the position of Secretary/Treasurer. John Wilsey was elected to the position of Committee Member-at-Large. Next year the ISCA conference will be at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. The tentative topic for 2012 is “Pluralism.” We anticipate doing an Apologetics in Action debate or dialogue on Thursday night to kick off the conference. Then we will have the normal Friday night and Saturday conference. As soon as we have a date confirmed, we will send you an e-mail with the details. Thank you for your participation in ISCA. We look forward to seeing you next year. Kerby Anderson, Vice-President
